ERASMUS + E E-TWINNING

Il Liceo James Joyce di Ariccia è un Liceo Linguistico e delle Scienze Umane con una vocazione internazionale che ha l’obiettivo di educare attraverso l’inclusione dentro e fuori la scuola. Il nome “James Joyce” conferma il profilo internazionale di questi studi e in questa prospettiva, dal 2012, la scuola ha istituito una sezione ESABAC e, nel 2017, ha ottenuto la qualifica di Scuola Cambridge con oltre tre sezioni.

La missione del nostro Istituto è quella di proiettare i nostri studenti verso un orizzonte artistico, culturale, politico, sociale e umano che inizi da una realtà locale e raggiunga una dimensione globale che includa valori costitutivi dell’Unione Europea.

Come Liceo specializzato in lingue straniere e scienze umane, si è cercato di coinvolgere gli studenti nel Progetto Diplomacy Education collaborando con molte Ambasciate che sono a Roma e partecipando a Progetti Internazionali di Scambi.

Nell’ultimo biennio il Joyce ha partecipato attivamente a Progetti E-twinning e soprattutto a progetti Erasmus+, che ci vedono protagonisti sia come partners che come coordinatori.

The “James Joyce School” is a High School Specializing in Foreign Languages and Human Sciences. It is located in Ariccia, a little town near Rome. It is a public, secular and pluralist school, attended by 1.300 students, more or less, distributed in 59 classes and aged from 14 to 19 years old. There are more than 120 teachers. It is a young school with an intercultural vocation that aims to educate through inclusion inside and outside the school. It has offered families a training agreement based on participation and the assumption of educational co-responsibility since 2000, with a linguistic and socio-psycho-educational orientation. The name “James Joyce” confirms the international profile of the studies. In this perspective, in 2012, the school established the ESABAC course section, and in 2017 it obtained the Cambridge International School Registration.

The mission of our institute is to project our students towards an artistic, cultural, political, social and human horizon that starts from the local and reaches the global reality including the constitutive values ​​of the European Union. As a High School specializing in foreign Languages and Human Sciences, it has  always involved its students in  Diplomacy Projects, creating a collaboration with many Embassies that are in Rome. Furthermore students experience frequent Exchanges with other European Schools in Germany, Spain, France, Denmark , Hungary. In all our Projects we also want to develop in our students the necessity and the importance of collaboration and cooperation among people belonging to different social classes and different cultures.
